Driving up to Cold Water Michigan, we weren’t sure what kind of weather we would get for Charlotte and Tony’s outdoor wedding. At first we prayed for warm sunshine, then we were hoping for no rain, then we were just hoping for the rain to wait until after pictures! And it did! The weekend before it was sunny and in the 80s but for an outdoor wedding that was in the 40′s we have never felt so warmly welcomed. I grew up with Charlotte and her older sister Alea was my first friend I made on my own (I even asked her to be friends by giving her a “flower” dandelion). During the dancing Charlotte informed me I was the one who taught her to dance…some Paula Abdul moves I’m sure. Her parents were like second parents to me and I truly love this family. The bride looked perfect and the groom was one of the nicest, laid back people I have ever met. We were all cold, but not once did anyone complain…in fact, Tony asked Charlotte several times if she needed to warm up during pictures and she said “Let’s keep going!” A photographer couldn’t ask for much more. Once we got under the tent the rain started and didn’t stop all night. What a blessing. Thanks Charlotte and Tony for hosting us and for being total troupers!
